Easy as Pie

30pie

PIE, PIE, PIE, I LOVE PIE! 🙂

IT’S EASY AS PIE!? Seriously though, when it comes to a true homemade pie, there is a whole lot of work that goes into it! With that said- I am excited to share some pie recipes with you that are so delicious & super easy!

In this post you will find the following recipes: Banana Cream Pie & Chocolate Cream Pie!

These pies will be a hit at any party or get together! They are so creamy and delicious! Yum!

The best part about these pie recipes is that you can easily make them gluten sensitive (you will find that mine are)!

Banana Cream Pie:

Ingredients: Pre-made Pie Crust, Banana Cream Instant Pie filling (3.4 oz), Cool Whip (16 oz), Milk (for pudding), 3 fresh bananas

Directions:

1. If your pre-made pie crust requires going in the oven, then start that first! You can either buy, ready-to-go or the kind that needs to be put in the oven, both end up great! I decided to go with a gluten-free pie crust that required about 10 minutes in the oven. Let me tell you, nobody could tell the difference that it was gluten free!

2. Next, start your pudding! Get a bowl. Put in the contents of the package and the milk (follow directions on the package). Stir! Then place your pie filling in the refrigerator for about 5 minutes

3. This is my favorite part 🙂 Take your bowl of pie filling out of the refrigerator and get your cool whip. Start folding about half of the cool whip into the bowl. Take your time & try a few samples 😉

4. Put your pie filling to the side and take out your bananas. Cut the bananas into thin slices.

5. Layer the bananas slices onto the bottom of your pie crust. I usually fill about half of the pie crust. Save 5 banana slices on the side.

6. Pour the pie filling over the bananas into the pie crust

7. Spread the remaining cool whip on top of the pie!
