Make Ahead Breakfast Smoothie Prep

Weekday mornings can be hectic with little time to prep and make a healthy breakfast. These make ahead mason jar smoothies are quick and easy to prep on a Sunday day/night before the start of your busy week. What’s great about these mason jar smoothie prep is that you can add your own fruits/ingredients that you enjoy in your smoothies. After prepping your smoothies for the week, all you have to do is add 4-6 ice cubes and 1/2 cup of almond milk or your choice of type of milk/yogurt.

This breakfast smoothie prep makes 5 jars. You can add more fruits, vegetables, or other choice of ingredients and fill additional mason jars for your prep. Below are the ingredients I used to make my breakfast smoothie prep.

INGREDIENTS:

(total for all 5 mason jars):

– 1 & 1/3 cup blueberries

-3 cups strawberries

-2 cups raspberries

-1 cup spinach

-1 banana (sliced)

-5 tsp Chia Seeds (1 tsp in each jar)

-2 & 1/2 tsp flax seeds (1/2 tsp in each jar)

-1/2 cup oats (1 tbsp in each jar)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Take a little bit of each of the ingredients and add into the mason jars. This is the order I place the ingredients.

-strawberries

-blueberries

-raspberries

-banana

-spinach

-oats

-chia seeds

-flax seeds

2. Close the mason jars with the lids and store in the refrigerator.

3. In the morning, add 4-6 ice cubes, 1/2 cup of either almond milk, milk, yogurt, or Greek yogurt.

4. Mix and blend all together in the blender & enjoy your breakfast smoothie to go!!!
