Pierogi Dinner

This is my favorite quick & easy dinner recipe. The homemade sauce is amazing and this dinner took 30 minutes from prep to table. It is yummy, simple, and definitely a big hit in my house!

Here’s what you need:

1 package of Pierogi

dash of salt

1 cup diced tomatoes (I used 2 roma tomatoes)

1 cup chopped green onions

2 handfuls chopped spinach

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 clove minced garlic

1 – 14.5 oz. can chicken broth

1 lb. smoked bacon

1 cup chopped sweet yellow onion

3 oz. cream cheese


1.Cook chopped onion and bacon in large skillet for 5 minutes

2.When bacon is slightly browned and onions have caramelized, add garlic

3.Add frozen pierogi and continue to turn every 3-5 minutes to prevent burning

4. Add chicken broth

5.Mix in cream cheese and allow to melt throughout

6.Add dash of salt (if desired)

7.Add cheddar cheese and allow to melt to provide flavor

8.Top with green onions and tomatoes

9.Mix everything with sauce
