Raspberry Banana & Spinach Smoothie

 

 I have been on a smoothie kick this past month. I have even started to prep my smoothie ingredients for the week to better use my time in the morning and make is easy and ready to make during those early mornings. You can add so many different ingredients to smoothies to customize to your own taste buds. Sometimes I just use any fruits/greens that I have in the fridge that have not been used yet. That is exactly what I did with this smoothie. I had been making smoothies all week and when I checked the refrigerator, I was low on fruits and was debating what kind of smoothie to make. I had some raspberries, blueberries, and bananas. I decided to use those but also wanted to add some greenery to the smoothie. This is something new that I am trying to add to my smoothies. I hear all of the great reasons to add greenery such as spinach, kale, etc to your smoothies. So I decided to add spinach. Surprisingly enough, you can’t even taste it! The smoothie was delicious and I only used 7 ingredients!

INGREDIENTS:

-1/2 cup of almond milk

-4-6 ice cubes

-1/3 cups oats

-1 banana (cut into pieces)

-1 cup raspberry

-1/3 cup blueberry

-1/2 cup spinach

-1/2 tsp chia seeds

-splash of orange juice

DIRECTIONS:

1. Add the ice cubes into the blender/mixer

2. Add the 1/2 cup almond milk

3. Add 1/3 cups oats

4. Add 1 cup raspberry, 1/3 cup blueberry, 1 banana, 1/2 cup spinach & the splash of orange juice

5. Mix all the ingredients together

6. Pour into a cup & ENJOY!!!
