Hi Everyone! My name is Mary and I am a 1st grade teacher at a Title I elementary school in the western suburbs of Chicago. I taught for the Archdiocese of Chicago for two years before I started my journey in the Illinois public school system. I have a fun-filled classroom full of students who are eager to learn and ready for any adventure! My district is 1:1 with technology which means each student takes home an Apple device to continue their learning at home- how awesome! This can be a challenge in itself but it’s full of opportunities to enhance my daily objectives. When I am not teaching, you can find me planning my wedding (with one of my best friends, might I add, and no, it’s not a Bride Wars situation), running, playing the piano, spending time with family, or napping! Check back in for more about my teaching and life’s adventures!
I’m Kristina and welcome to my page! I am a Preschool Special Education teacher who is always trying to find & create fun and engaging learning activities for my students. As you know, young children love to play! My goal is to find ways to incorporate learning into play and ways that students can interact and work together in the classroom! Students learn in different ways and finding creative learning activities to meet all diverse learners is what I am always looking for!
Not only do I have a passion for teaching, but I also am always looking for new projects to accomplish and learn from outside from teaching. Whether it is cooking up a new dish, finding a new room to paint, new DIY projects, wedding and home ideas, I am always looking for a new project! Check it out!!!
